what this quote means is that if you have some goals you wont get to them unless you know how to. An example can be when you want to get straight A's in your classes, you cant do that like nothing. You have to set short term goals to help you reach your long term goal. Another example of this quote can be when you want to go to college but you know you ll have trouble getting yourself there. That's when you make a long term goal which is to go to college, your short term goals will be to do anything to get into the college that you want to go to.
