If your playing a sport such as basketball, soccer, baseball or football, you have to have the energy to play otherwise there's no point in playing if your not going to be energetic and have fun. If something is boring to you there is always a way to change that pretend your somewhere that makes you happy, or something that you like and pretend your dong that certain thing. So what this quote is telling you is to have some enthusiasm when your doing something or when your somewhere.
