What this quote means is that you get freedom by doing the right thing. An example of this can be when your using your phone in class and the teacher takes it away from you. You wont have freedom to use it because they took it away. If you keep your phone out of sight they you will have freedom to use it in class once in a while. Its better to have freedom and Independence than not to have it. Another example of this quote can be when your doing something and you get in trouble and cant do that again. If you do the right thing you will have freedom and independence and you'll be able to do it again. Always do whats right and you'll be rewarded for it.
