What this quote is saying is that good values is more important than anything else. An example of this can as he said you can have money, love, and happiness. But you cant have that without good values. Examples of good values are like woring hard, being honest, having integerety, etc.
Anohter example of this can be when you are taking a text and you know if you dont do goood youll fail, But if you cheat you mihgt not fail but you know its wrong. When it comes to that you have to have good values and relye on yurself and try your best.
